Evaluación del uso de anticonceptivos orales en mujeres del programa de salud sexual y reproductiva de Rio Tercero, año 2006 / José L. Webe

Escuela de Salud Pública, 2010 Resumen: Se efectuó un estudio de tipo descriptivo y transversal sobre una muestra de 250 mujeres ingresantes al Programa de Salud Reproductiva de Río Tercero, Córdoba, Argentina, en el periodo comprendido entre enero de 2004 y enero de 2006. Mediante una encuesta estructurada se valoró el grado de cumplimiento en el uso de anticonceptivos orales identificando la continuidad o discontinuidad, como así también los principales motivos de discontinuación de anticonceptivos orales, evaluando las consecuencias reproductivas. De las encuestadas el 60% (n: 135) discontinuo su adhesión farmacológica al anticonceptivo oral indicado, la mitad de ellas lo hizo por presentar efectos colaterales (53,3%); al analizar dichos efectos colaterales encontramos que la intolerancia digestiva (37,5%), trastornos menstruales (29,16%) y variaciones en el peso (25%) fueron las causas preponderantes. Un 19,74% de aquellas que interrumpieron el método tuvieron posteriormente un embarazo no planificado. Es necesario medir la adherencia al tratamiento si se pretende optimizar el manejo terapéutico de este tipo de planes al implementados mejorando la gestión. Las herramientas con este propósito son diversas, sin embargo, la mayoría de ellas no cumplen su cometido por sí solas. Summary A descriptive and transversal study was carried out in a sample of 250 women from the population that attended at Reproductive Health Program of the city of Rio Tercero, Cordoba, Argentine, who were incorporated into the program between January of 2004 and January of 2006. The research was based on a survey of close questions. These aimed at establishing the degree of fulfillment of oral contraceptives use, differentiating among continuation or discontinuation in the use of oral contraceptives, main reasons of discontinuation, and evaluation of the reproductive consequences. Out of the 250 women interviewed, 135, the 60%, declared to have been discontinuity the use of oral contraceptives pills. Of these women, 53% did so because of side effects, which was the main self-reported reason for oral contraceptives discontinuation: 37% nausea, 29% abnormal menstruations, 25% weight gain, it was the preponderant causes. If 19.74% of those women to have a subsequent not planning pregnancy. It was concluded that is necessary to level the noncompliance in the use of oral contraceptives towards to improve the therapeutic management of the program of reproductive health.
